—FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS—

Do I or my guests need dance experience?
Not at all! Our events are designed for complete beginners and mixed experience levels. We teach simple, fun line dances that get guests participating quickly and comfortably. As we like to say, if you can walk, you can dance!
What kinds of events do you offer dance instruction for?
All kinds! We provide dance instruction and entertainment for weddings, corporate events, private parties, festivals, fundraisers, community gatherings, and more throughout Steamboat Springs and Northwest Colorado.
I'm planning a corporate retreat or conference. What do you recommend?
Facilitated interactive dance experiences are perfect to accompany dinners at corporate events. We teach beginner-friendly dances focused on participation and fun so that guests can connect and interact in new ways. Line dancing is a great fit for team-building events, conference socials, apres-ski gatherings, holiday parties, and company retreats in Steamboat. You'd be surprised how many people get up and boogie with us, strengthening relationships and building shared positive memories they'll still be talking about next year!
I'm planning a western-themed wedding. What do you recommend?
We can offer full-service dance support for weddings or a la carte options. Before the wedding, we suggest private lessons for first dances, father-daughter dances, and mother-son dances. Private group partner dance classes for bachelor and bachelorette parties, bridal parties, and families are special, memorable ways to gear up for your big day, just like a menu or cake tasting! These can be long before the big day or at a rehearsal dinner. Don't forget to bring us to the party day-of to lead line dances to get everyone up and keep them on the dance floor!
I hate country music. What other options do I have?
No problem at all. We love line dances to pop, rock, hip-hop, throwbacks, disco, and other crowd-friendly music. We can customize the playlist and dance style to match the vibe of your guests and event.
Do you travel outside Steamboat Springs?
Yes. We regularly travel throughout Routt County and can travel anywhere within the High Country, Western Slope, and even the Front Range. Reach out with your event location and date, and we’ll let you know if we can accommodate it.

FAQs

What kinds of dance do you teach?
We teach many kinds of dances, and you don't have to pick just one style! In addition to line dancing, we offer instruction in partner dances like country two step, east and west coast swing, and salsa and bachata, and more! Salsa rueda, a community-style social dance similar to contra dancing, is a great team builder that will have everyone smiling ear-to-ear. Kelly also teaches Scottish and Irish dancing! We can mix and match styles within one event to give you something for everyone.
How long are your events?
Our events are custom-built for you. They can range from 30 minutes to 5+ hours inclusive of set-up, dinner, dance instruction, and guest engagement. Let us know what you're looking for, and we can advise what will work well for your group based on our experience.
How many people can participate?
We regularly offer everything from private lessons to small group classes to large group events with 200+ participants. We are skilled in managing the energy of groups of all sizes so that participation and engagement stay high.
Do you provide music or do I need to hire a DJ or band?
Whatever you prefer. We can create custom playlists for your entire evening, from cocktail hour to dinner through dancing, based on your preferences. We can also coordinate with DJs and bands, and can recommend great local bands who we work with regularly.
Do you provide sound equipment?
In many cases, we use the venue's sound equipment and our own microphones, but we can discuss bringing sound equipment if needed.
Are your events family friendly?
Yes. Our events and classes are designed to be welcoming, inclusive, and fun for all ages and experience levels. We tailor all of our music and dance choices to your group.
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weddings and peak holidays and local Steamboat Springs event weekends. Popular weekends can fill several months in advance.
